24 May 2017, 18:30 - 20:00
Students and young professionals up to age 30 are invited to enter the Present Around the World competition (PATW). You'll give a presentation lasting ten minutes on an engineering subject of your choice, and should be prepared to answer questions for a further five minutes. Presenters do not have to be current members of the IET.
Subjects covered could be those studied as part of a degree or a project you've been involved in at work. The judging is split 25% technical content, 75% presentation skills, enabling younger members at varying levels of study or career to take part. There are cash prizes to be won plus the opportunity to compete in national and international competitions.
Visit the Institute of Engineering and Technology website for an application form. Deadline for submissions is 24 April 2017.
Anyone may attend as part of the audience to hear talented students and young professionals give their presentations for this competition. Check the Institute of Engineering and Technology website for confirmation on the competition, timing, room venue and for synopses of presentations, a few days before the event.
