Selena Carty, genealogist, historian and founder of the BlackPoppyRose, presents her research into the contributions of Black Servicemen (African, African American and Caribbean soldiers) who were members of or supported the British Armed Forces in the First and Second World Wars.
The BlackPoppyRose is a symbol to remember the African/Black/Caribbean communities who have contributed in a number of ways towards war efforts across the globe since the 16th century.
