Peter Taylor, CEO, The Technology Partnership (TTP) and Chair of CEDAR
"CEDAR has brought together a unique mix of academics and entrepreneurs and I think they can make a real difference for students and entrepreneurial businesses alike."

Iain Cruickshank, CEO, Elecheck
"The impact the ground breaking BA (Hons) Enterprise and Entrepreneurial management has on the students is truly remarkable. I just wish this kind of programme existed when I was starting out."

Vernon Spencer, CEO, Visual Planet
"Young entrepreneurial businesses in Cambridge are not nearly as well networked as people think. The way the CEDAR team seek to address the challenges facing these dynamic businesses really is unique and is likely to have huge impact."

Owen O'Neill (CEO of University Compare) about The Big Pitch, delivered by CEDAR:
"ARU was a great place for me to study. I graduated last year (2013) and they basically gave me a stepping stone that enabled me to set up my own business. I'm a computing student and didn't have much of a business background, after entering the competition 'The Big Pitch' it enabled me to give a go at my idea and push for realistic business idea with multiple revenue streams.
Now thanks to that original platform I have been able to build the business and merge the skills that I learned at ARU into a viable business"

Current 3rd Year students (anonymous) comments regarding the BA (Hons) Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management course, delivered by CEDAR:

Student 1
"The opportunities the course has given me are unparalleled compared to any other course at the university. It doesn't let you hide at the back of the classroom taking notes but lecturers get everyone involved and therefore cause people to gain an even more valuable learning experience from university about them. The fact that the course is so practical rather than theoretical, as is the university norm means that I am more than prepared to go out into the world with bundles of self-confidence and drive, compared to all my other friends who have been left floundering and unsure what direction to go in.

"I am now confident to take chances and spot opportunities, which I don't think can be picked up in everyday life but has to be taught in unique and specialised courses such as BA Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management. I am now sadly in my third year and can safely say this is the best experience I have ever had in my life and I would not change it for the world.

"Thank you to everyone involved on our course and CEDAR. Why can't we have more lectures? I would happily have come in for 3 full days a week and I think the course has so much to offer that it would be able to do that."

Student 2
"The course is effective in ensuring you have the tools you need in future business. Giving you an understanding of your employability skills and future of business in different environments. Lecturers have positive and practical experience. Meeting some of the guest speakers and entrepreneurs is one of the most valuable things."

Student 3
"There is real interaction with entrepreneurs and real life examples. Small classes are excellent. I feel like this degree has helped me develop in a way that a standard business course would not have."

Student 4
"Being able to take an idea and turn it into an actual business plan with strong support from different people, both in and outside of the university, is great. Fitting in a work placement within a three year course was also a great idea. Student feedback given during the course is always taken on board and acted upon."
