Derbyshire-based care organisation, Enable, pride themselves on being providers of high quality care and support to people with learning disabilities. A key contributor to their success is a commitment to developing and retaining a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
Enable needed a flexible management programme which could help managers and aspiring managers to meet the challenges of working in the rapidly-developing care sector. They wanted to equip their staff with the skills to face complex changes in the sector, more demanding governance and develop a more business-orientated approach to management. They were keen to build and expand upon existing training initiatives and felt a more academic qualification could help their staff to continue their professional development and improve standards of care further in the organisation.
Our work-based Foundation Degree in Care Management's innovative online delivery allows for flexible study, with additional support from a dedicated University tutor and a workplace mentor. The programme covers key business-related areas such as finance, marketing and law in relation to the care sector and equips staff with the analytical, research and reflective skills to meet the challenges of future developments in the care sector head on.
"We're very pleased to be involved with this project and to work with Anglia Ruskin University on the delivery of this programme to our dedicated staff. We look forward to working together over the coming years to improve our business to meet the challenges ahead."
