Civil engineering student Nadanum

Faculty:Science & Technology

Course: BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering

Hi, my name is Nadanum and I am from Mauritius. I am currently doing my second year in Civil Engineering on the Chelmsford campus.

The reason I chose this course is because I have a passion for Mathematics and the experience I had in my dad’s hardware store sparked my interest in civil engineering.

In my first year, we had an optional project called consructionarium. It was amazing to have a real-life experience on a site for a week. It’ definitely expanded my knowledge in civil engineering.

ARU helped me to become independent and to be confident. I made many friends through the university’s event and fresher fairs. It is so great to see that there are many international students here and I feel really comfortable.
