Hi I'm Louis and I'm just coming to the end of my first year at ARU studying English Language & English Language Teaching.

I decided to come to ARU after spending some time overseas. While abroad I realised that I wanted to spend the rest of my life wandering the globe. I saw a great opportunity to use English as a means for this and made the decision to apply to university.

I chose to attend ARU because of the fantastic modules offered on my course which include an extra teaching qualification that means I will be ready to get straight into teaching upon graduation.

While at ARU I try to take advantage of the extra-curricular activities on offer. The university has a great array of social activities, including quiz nights, tea parties and trips around the UK.

I have also started playing many new sports here at ARU. There are competitive teams playing in the BUCS league as well as casual sessions for people wanting to play socially or wanting to try a new sport.

Living in Cambridge is also a pleasure and I really try to maximise being in such a fantastic location. Overall, I'm very happy with the decision I made to come to ARU and I haven't looked back since..

Louis' first post will follow soon
