Researchers from a broad range of expeiences are invited to apply to attend workshops around the cross-Research Council theme of Technology Touching Life (TTL).
The Engineering and Physical Sciences, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences, and Medical Research Councils seek to use the workshops to:
- "share the vision and current plans for the TTL initiative
- seek input on key challenges and opportunities, as well as feedback on our proposed approach to implementation
- facilitate cross-disciplinary networking and the formation of consortia for a Technology Touching Life community research networks call (to be launched May 2017)".
Eligibility to apply is broad, as the funders expect highly collaborative and cross-disciplinary projects to result: "The research councils would like to enable a broad range of researchers with interest in activities related to TTL to attend the workshops, and applications are welcome from a broad range of research backgrounds including engineering, physical, computational, health and life sciences, with particular encouragement for researchers with experience of working across these disciplinary fields."
Workshops will be held on 6 June (Midlands), 16 June (London) and 20 June (Scotland tbc).
Apply through the RCUK website by 5pm on 9 May 2017.
