You’re probably worrying about results day, and that’s perfectly normal. But here are some ways to take your mind off it, and to de-stress.
Spend time with your family
Your family are your biggest supporters. Make sure you spend some quality time with your family, whether you go out for dinner, watch a film together, or just spend some time chatting with them.
If you have any pets, make the most of all the cuddles and playing with them, as when you go to university you will miss them immensely. Take lots of pictures that you can take with you. Family will Skype you, but pets aren’t so great at that!
See your friends
It’s quite likely that you and your friends will all go to different universities – and that’s okay! It doesn’t mean that you will stop talking. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people as well. But make sure you spend some time with your friends, and make some great memories together to keep you smiling.
Watch some TV
Catch up on all the series you missed on Netflix while you were busy revising and completing coursework. Watch some movies, and chill out. Relax – you earned it!
Play some games
Now you’ve finished your A-levels, you can finally play that new Xbox game, or get your friends and family involved in some Just Dance battles! Whether you’re catching Pokémon or killing aliens, unwind with some games.
Spend some time outside
Enjoy the sunshine. Sit in your garden and admire the nature, take a walk, or go to some local venues to get out of the house. Sunshine and fresh air will help you to de-stress, and will give you something else to focus on other than the worry of your results.
Go for a day trip
Is there a town or city you want to visit before you go to university? Or perhaps you want to visit your university city. Either way, go somewhere new and find something interesting to do.
Good luck on results day! I’m sure all your hard work has paid off!
