BA (Hons) Social Work
Hi, I am Beverley but prefer to be called Bev. I am classed as a ‘mature student’ and will heading come September into my second year of BA (Hons) Social Work at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. I travel a round trip of just over 60 miles a day in order for me to attend my chosen university of Anglia Ruskin. Although initially the travelling was draining combined with studies, assignments, reading requirements and home life, it was fundamental that I structured my time in order to keep a healthy balance of all my responsibilities.
Outside of university, I volunteer at Chums, children’s and family bereavement service, Victim Support and lastly a soup kitchen. My interests are very much community focused, however, on a personal level I enjoy swimming and travelling.
I have done a few gigs being Student Ambassador, so you may have already spoken to me on open days or the induction day for social work. If you see me around, come and say hi!
I will be submitting blogs throughout my academic journey, about the Social Work course, the university, books I have found useful, and pointers in general.
