The Royal Academy of Engineering has opened its call for Enterprise Fellowships. This is a fantastic chance to translate research into commercialisation projects.
University-based academics wishing to spin-out a company can apply, as can recent graduates with ambitions to start a company.
This is a scheme with bold aims, and engineers applying should bear these in mind:
- To bring engineering innovations to market for a wider public benefit
- To improve the skills of the awardee, through training and application
- To develop role models of entrepreneurship
- To develop a wider alumni network to further the aims of the Hub
The Academy wishes to create a supportive network of successful entrepreneurs and grantees, so that it can continue to offer the "money-can’t-buy bespoke support and one-to-one mentoring from its Fellowship" that make the scheme so special.
Successful applicants receive up to £60,000, mentoring, training in business, public relations support, access to RAEng networks, and membership of the RAEng Enterprise Hub.
Applications must be received by 4pm, Monday 2 October.
