The Leverhulme Trust is accepting applications for its prestigious Major Research Fellowship grants.
This unusual scheme is designed to buy-out a researcher from their other commitments (namely, teaching), and allow them to carry out a project with potential for high impact. On top of the costs of teaching replacement, the grant provides up to £6,000 for research materials and expenses.
The remit of The Trust is broad, and so applications are welcome from various fields within social sciences and humanities. Key for this application will be understanding the potential impact of the proposed project, highlighting why your work is important.
Projects may run for two or three years, and must start at the beginning of the 2019-20 academic year.
The deadline for applications is 10 May 2018.
