We've received a new raft of news from The Leverhulme Trust. They are one of our most important funders, and we recommend their newsletter to all of you.
This month's news includes:
Help us improve the Trust's website - the Trust have been working to improve their website. As anyone seeking funding or managing a grant will be navigating this site, they are giving you the chance to have some input. Take this opportunity to improve their accessibility, as well as improving your knowledge of the funder.
Philip Leverhulme Prizes - the list of this year's winners. There are a few good reasons to take an interested in the winners of prestigious funding, even if the list doesn't include your name this time: you'll spot if there are trends in the funder's preferences (research field, researcher type, grant size...); you'll get a feel for how competitive the fund is and whether you need a big team of high profile co-applicants; you'll spot if there are any high-profile or up-and-coming researchers in your field you could work with in future (or contact for application tips!).
Visiting Professorships - ARU has proven to be a big fan of this kind of funding, enabling you to bring a researcher from outside the UK to our institution. While here they will develop their host department and faculty, and deliver lectures educating the university community more widely. The current call will close on 10 May 2018.
So, check out the Trust's site and get up to speed on what's happening, sign up to their newsletter, and talk to RIDO if you have any questions!
