We now take a break from our regularly scheduled programming to congratulate the Faculty of Arts, Law &d Social Sciences, which has won the first ARU-led AHRC Newton Fund Research Grant.
Headed by Professor Rohan Kariyawasam, a consortia consisting of Anglia Ruskin University, Peking University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and King & Wood Mallesons LLP Beijing, will research the 'Fair use of digital content' in the IP and copyright industries in China. It will last one year, and will provide insight of value not only to local and national governments in China and the UK, but also to those who work in the creative industries and in IP-related activities in manufacturing industries.
