In May 2017, our first year BA (Hons) Performing Arts students staged a performance of Kontakthof, a German dance theatre piece by legendary dance practitioner Pina Bausch.

The performances took place at our on-campus Mumford Theatre and featured an exciting investigation of numerous performance aspects, including theatrical narrative through physical movement and using the choreographic body as a vehicle to represent socio-political ideas. Kontakthof was a wonderful experience for our students, who were able to explore some of the most stimulating ideas of the contemporary performing arts.

Kontakthof was an assessed, non-public performance, and part of the Performing Arts course’s first year of study.
