Summer production leads on to greater things
During July 2014, ten of our graduates took part in an intensive summer production under the direction of Eirini Kartsaki (Lecturer in Drama), which led to the launch of new theatre company.
Ducks and Rabbits Theatre Company engages with work based on improvisation and concerned with the tedious and extraordinary aspects of daily life. Their work draws from contemporary performance and live art, creating fragmented narratives that require the audience to make up the story and using repetition, language and unpredictable imagery to "examine an eternal sense of solitude amidst the crowds."
The company's work is supported by the Department of Music and Performing Arts as part of our remit to develop the performing and employability skills of our students.
The company are now preparing to perform at the BIBAC Conference in October 2014.
