Music and Performing Arts students put on public performance at Cambridge Junction
On 23 November, more than forty Music and Performing Arts students from across all year groups organised and took part in Anglia Ruskin's spectacular cabaret.
The event, which was held at the Cambridge Junction, allowed our students to showcase their talents, from singing to acting, music, dance and comedy. As they themselves said, the cabaret involved 'all things glamorous, from ballads to extravagant dancers'.
It also provided an opportunity for the community to join in with a celebration of Anglia Ruskin's commitment and passion to the arts.
After the event, some of the students told us about their experience:
"As a Fresher, I was unbelievably grateful to everyone for such an amazing opportunity to kick off my time at ARU... It's been a true inspiration to see what a fantastic performance can be created when we all work together. I feel privileged to have worked with such talented, beautiful people, and I just wanted to say thank you for that!"
"At the start of my second year I knew I wanted to do more extra-curricular events and I'm so glad I chose this one! I had an amazing time and can't wait to do it all over again next year!"
"It has been a privilege to work with such an amazingly talented group of people over the past three months! There is so much talent at Anglia Ruskin University and I am so glad that I was able to be a part of such an incredible evening of entertainment. I would like to that all of the staff at Anglia Ruskin University for giving me the opportunity to direct and produce 'Til I Hear You Sing, it is an experience I will never forget and will always be one of my favourite memories of my time attending Anglia Ruskin University. Thank you to all of the cast, band and crew involved, you are all stars."
We are very proud of our students and congratulate everyone involved.
