Open lectures

Our open lectures give you a taste of what it's like to study different subjects at university, and are available to students of year 12 and 13 across the East of England. Booking is essential, but if you wish to bring a whole class please first contact sarah.jones@anglia.ac.uk.

Crime Day

9.30am-3pm, Wednesday 17 October 2018

Join us for a day of crime and investigation, and explore your career options. Includes:

  • Crime Scene Processing – join the team of crime scene investigators to undertake preliminary tests and analyse items for bloodstains
  • Policing – gather the evidence and identify your suspects
  • Criminology – undertake criminal profiling to identify the perpetrator
  • Judge the crime and sentence the offender in our mock courtroom

Shakespeare and Performance taster

Wednesday 31 October 2018

Discover what it's like to study and perform Shakespeare at university. Includes:

  • Staging Shakespeare: work with experienced theatre practitioners to explore contemporary approaches to performing the plays of Shakespeare
  • Reading Shakespeare: Look at Shakespeare’s plays in terms of their original contexts of performance and reading using digital facsimiles of the plays as printed in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, and compare these early texts to later, 'modernised' editions.
