Children's theatre

Anglia Ruskin University has a commitment to improving and expanding our community engagement and the Mumford Theatre plays a central role in this.

The Mumford Theatre continues to offer our local community and the families with young children who live around our campus, in Cambridge and the wider region, an exciting range of contemporary and classic children's theatre.

The Mumford Theatre offers the perfect environment for children's theatre. With an excellent tiered seating arrangement, we have an enviable reputation for offering a good view from all 270 of its seats - even for little people.

Our children's shows are scheduled for weekends and school holidays when parents are most looking to treat their kids to a theatre experience. We offer productions for a range of ages from 4 years up, but all are great for adults too. We aim to present shows that engage, stimulate the imagination, challenge expectations and entertain.

Due to the physical arrangement of the theatre, and in the interests of other members of the audience, we do not encourage bringing children younger than 3 years old to the theatre.
