Shreepali Patel is a filmmaker – documentary, drama, moving image and multi-media – who spent a decade at the BBC, learning her craft as a documentary filmmaker and radio producer before embarking on a freelance career.

With over 30 broadcast documentaries, drama and BBC Radio 4 documentaries to her name (including the BAFTA award winning Dawn), Shreepali has built up extensive experience of filming worldwide and negotiating access to and filming in sensitive, hostile environments to high-profile political and celebrity arenas. She formed Eyeline Films with producer/director Geoffrey Smith. Eyeline Films' first feature documentary was the Emmy Award-winning The English Surgeon.

Shreepali returned to academia in 2008 and continues to make films. Her latest projects include The Golden Window (single and multi-screen documentary) and Elena: Journey 2.0 (a multi-media art installation on trafficking).
