Since September 2015, Vasiliki has been a PhD student at Anglia Ruskin University supervised by Dr Wendy Moody (Course Leader, Fashion Design) and Dr Hilary Bungay (Course Leader, MSc Advanced Practice).

She has been a practising and qualified art therapist since 2007, combining her own art work with patient work. She also practises yin yoga and is following a vegan lifestyle.

Vasiliki's current PhD research explores the use of textile arts and design in creating works of art influenced by the properties of the connective tissue and movement of the human body. The aim is to create artworks and installations inspired by the processes involved in damage/injury, morphogenesis/wound repair and bodily movement. She is also investigating how the findings from this research could be used to develop new practice as well as the use of new materials and methods, and the impact of these on an audience.
