Film and Television Production projects go live on Channel 4 website

Over the last two years our BA and MA Film and Television Production students have won four commissions from Screen South’s Random Acts Networks programme.

Created by Arts Council England in association with Channel 4, the aim of the programme is to discover "emerging bold and creatively expressive filmmaking talent”.

To date, four films have been commissioned and completed by our students In 2015, First (Alejandro Ahedo Perez, Kim Bates) and Seven Pleats, Seven Vows (Shona Murray-Smith, Aditya Sengupta) were added to the site, and in 2016, Asafo (pictured) (Lola Ogunrinde, Luke Tsamados) and Voyager (Cameron Turnbull, Alejandro Ahedo Perez).

Voyager has since been nominated for Best Experimental Short Film at the BFI Future Film Festival, and Seven Pleats, Seven Vows accepted into the International Short Film Festival in Kolkata.

All four productions were co-produced by Cambridge School of Art staff members Sophie Jackson (Course Leader, BA Film and Television Production) and Catherine Elliott (Course Leader, MA Film and Television Production).
