We are pleased to announce that Cambridge School of Art will have a dedicated space at this year's Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale.
The goal of the Biennale is to promote and further a knowledge and understanding of printmaking and its technical variables and complexities to a wider audience. This will be achieved through exhibitions, demonstrations, and talks on printmaking during the Biennale.
Taking part will be graduating students Nicola Baker, Vic Dawson and Alice Rivers and Printmaking Studio Assistants Lynne Windsor and Damian Coyle from the MA Printmaking Programme, as well as MA Fine Art graduating students Emma Black, Yvonne Odell, Stephan Termote. Printmaking Technician John Williams will also make an appearance.
Events will include talks and demonstrations, and the 2016 Keynote Speakers include our own MA Fine Art and MA Printmaking Course Leader Dr Véronique Chance. Her talk will draw on the recent RE:PRINT/RE:Present Exhibition and Symposium that took place at Anglia Ruskin University in July 2015, profiling the work and ideas of the artists who took part in both events as well as the forthcoming development of the RE:PRINT Artist Book, to be launched in Spring 2017 and supported with research funding from ARU and the Arts Council of England. You can book a place for this talk on Eventbrite.
