A new introduction to our Chelmsford campus will feature monthly Music at Lunchtime concerts, given by aspiring young professional musicians and singers.

Robert Castellani is a three time Guitarist of the Year finalist and has been noted as one of the world’s best young acoustic guitarists alongside Newton Faulkner and Ed Sheeran by Acoustic Guitar Magazine in the US.

With a unique approach to the instrument, Robert combines percussive sounds on the body of the instrument alongside harmonics and entangling melodies to create a whirlwind of sound all from just one instrument.

Starting out as an electric guitarist before studying classical music and composition at University, Robert draws from a wide array of genres including folk, rock, blues, funk and classical guitar. These are all blended into his own distinctive style, described as 'percussive acoustic guitar'.

This performance is part of our Lunchtime Concert Series.
