ALSS Buddies

ALSS Buddies is a voluntary scheme in which current Year 2 and 3 students help new undergraduates settle in to university life, providing an opportunity to meet other students, answer questions and make this new experience even more enjoyable.

New students

Every new undergraduate student in our faculty is automatically allocated a Buddy. New students just need to provide their contact details so that their Buddy can get in touch.

Visit our 'new students' information page to find out more.

New students can sign up using our new student application form on Surveymonkey. (This is an optional scheme should you choose not to have a Buddy).

Buddy volunteers

If you are in your 2nd or 3rd year this is your chance to share your tips on student life and make a difference to new students. At the training you will learn about mentoring and gain valuable interpersonal and employability skills. Anyone with a keen interest to help others is welcome to apply.

Visit our Buddy volunteering page to find out more.

To become an ALSS Buddy, you can sign up via our volunteers application form on Surveymonkey and choose one of the training sessions on offer. We will then be in touch with further details.
