Dr Antesar's research areas includes cyber security, managing trust and reputation in a highly dynamic systems like MANETs, Attacks related to recommender systems and data sparsity problem, social trust, and optimisation of trustworthy paths in distributed networks.

Dr Antesar received her PhD degree from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom, in July 2015, which involved modelling computational trustworthiness evaluation techniques and recommender systems for mobile ad hoc environments. She received the MSc degree from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, in November 2008 in IT Consultancy. Prior to joining the University of Anglia Ruskin as a research fellow in the department of computing, she was a teaching and research assistant at the University of Bradford. Prior to this, she worked as a research assistant at the University of West of Scotland in the department of Engineering and informatics in the field of managing data sparsity of recommender systems and optimisation of trustworthy paths.
