Digital learning: The two most important skills for building learning online

10 October 2018, 12:00 - 14:00
Cambridge campus

Leonard Houx of Cass Business School is a professional designer of online learning (for both the public and private sector). He has found that the two most powerful tools are also two of the least discussed: instructional design and usability engineering. This session will introduce these two and show how you can use them to make your teaching more engaging, efficient and effective.

  • What is meant by instructional design and usability?
  • Who are your online learners?
  • How can I use instructional design and usability to support my online learner?

The session will comprise a mix of theory and practical examples (both negative and positive).

Lunch will be served at 12pm with the seminar starting at 12.30pm.
