Focus on four – how can we make Level 4 work better for our students?

6 June 2018, 09:00 - 12:00
Cambridge campus

Level 4 is of crucial importance to our undergraduate students as they enter Higher Education, as it provides an opportunity to develop the skills needed to become effective HE learners. However, several indicators show that their first year is not used effectively to develop these skills. This interactive workshop will examine the main problems, including issues with assessment and engagement, and explore possible solutions. The workshop will use online technologies to capture input from participants.

Outcomes will focus on:

  • identification of the main issues affecting Level 4 as a major transition period for our students
  • identification of some potential solutions
  • recommendations for further action.
