This workshop will explore the qualities and skills involved in effective project supervision, key aspects of the role, respective responsibilities of student and supervisor, best practice in the management of supervision sessions, and effective strategies for clarifying mutual expectations.
The workshop will also consider the importance of effective coordination within course supervision teams, as well as best practice in the provision of high quality information and guidance for Masters project/dissertation students.
Dr Simon Pratt-Adams and Dr Adam Longcroft will explore how to enhance the supervision experience of students on postgraduate major project/dissertation modules. They’ll draw on data collected from postgraduate project supervisors and build on recent experience of running similar workshops at undergraduate level.
