Help registering and logging in for new students

By now you will have received a few emails with log in details for lots of useful resources. Make sure you log in to e:Vision first to activate your student email. You'll find your username in your joining instructions email.

Please contact us at answers@anglia.ac.uk or tweet @aruanswers if you want to talk to us or get stuck. It can take up to a day to process your offer.

You will have been sent a short and full username:

  • Short username - E.g. xyz123. This was originally sent to you by admissions@anglia.ac.uk
  • Full username - E.g. xyz123@student.anglia.ac.uk

If you have not received your formal joining instructions after accepting your offer, please contact 01245 686868 or answers@anglia.ac.uk

e:Vision  You'll need to register with us to start your enrolment and let us know how you'll be paying your fees (if applicable). Do this before you arrive to make sure your timetable is ready for the first week of teaching. Registering will also activate your student email address, library access and student ID card. Log in to this using your short username and the password originally sent to you by admissions@anglia.ac.uk. The first time you log in to e:Vision you’ll be asked to update your password. If you can't log in to e:Vision, please contact student support on 01245 686600. 

Online Induction Portal You will then receive another email with more information such as accommodation and finance. This will also contain details of our induction portal and advise that additional log in details will follow in another separate email sent to you in around 24 hours. If you don't receive this third email, please contact welcome@anglia.ac.uk. You're able to claim a free gift at the end once you’ve completed all the steps. This password is different to the one that you'll have set up in e:Vision.

Mobile App Log in using your FULL username (see above) and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision Download your free Anglia Ruskin Mobile app for easy access to your timetable, maps, student email account and essential information. All our Welcome events will be on the app so you can plan your Welcome week. When you change your password on e:Vision you'll need to update the password in the app

Accommodation Induction Portal Log in using your Student ID Number and the password sent to you in your invitation email sent by The Residential Service. This portal contains useful information hints and tips to help you settle into your new accommodation. You’ll also be able to book your arrival time slot for moving in and find out more about the event we have planned to welcome you. If you have any problems logging in, please contact accommodation team in Chelmsford or Cambridge

On campus WiFi Log in using your full username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision Get fast, free and reliable wireless internet access on all ARU campuses and beyond using the eduroam network.

Student Email / Office 365 Log in using your full username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision Access your inbox, calendar and contacts list in Anglia Ruskin’s Microsoft Office 365 mail service.

Remote Desktop Log in using your short username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision Our virtual desktop gives you access to all your Anglia Ruskin desktop, all its software and all your files from any device, any time from anywhere.

My.anglia Log in using your short username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision This is your personalised portal and has links to all our major services

VLE Log in using your short username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision This is your online learning portal where you’ll find your course materials, are able to speak to your lecturer and collaborate with other students.

University Library Log in using your short username and the new password you’ve just set on e:Vision.

Here you can borrow books, access eBooks, search international research databases and get technical assistance from the Library Helpdesk
