Welcome Week

Students getting involved

Welcome Week is the opportunity to start making friends and preparing for university life. Make sure you attend your Course Induction plus take part in as any events and activities as you can.

Welcome week starts on 19th September.

Being at university isn't just about reaching the end goal of a qualification. It's an enriching experience that helps you develop academically, personally and professionally.

To make the most out of your time as a student, focus on the following four areas.

  • Your course - the reason you're here and the first step to achieving your chosen career.
  • Your friends and social life - both important to keep you motivated.
  • Your personal development - while your course is important, so are you, so look at what other opportunities and experiences are available outside your academic studies.
  • Your future employability - what could you be doing to help you get your dream job when you graduate?

You'll can find out the full schedule of Welcome activities via the Anglia App and you’ll see there’s something for everyone with sessions to improve your study skills, mature students meet ups, money management sessions, sports, outdoor activities, as well as a packed Students’ Union social programme and much more.
