About me:

I play for the university netball team, we travel around to different universities playing BUCS tournaments. I love drawing, sketching and designing and I would love to work abroad. I have had a pretty successful 3 years at Anglia Ruskin University, I have won Architecture and Planning Course Group award in 2014, an SU society award in 2015 and a peer appreciation award.

Typical Week

I have lectures 3 days a week. I participate in society events for the Afro Caribbean Society and we run events throughout the years including: debates, parties, BBQ’s and trips to different cities. I go clubbing on students nights which is mainly Wednesday, and I work as a student ambassador during open days and clearing. I also go to the library and visit the gym on campus.

Top tip for new students

As an architecture student, you need to show the development process of your initial designs and conceptual designs in order to finalise your studio projects. This is essential as it not only counts towards your grade and meets the marking criteria, but it opens up opportunities for improvement and starts to prepare you for working in the industry.

Stay on top of your assignments as the workload increases, to try and prevent the late night sessions. But, most of all enjoy yourself.
