Students' Union

Anglia Ruskin Students' Union is an independent charity that supports students through university.

If you’re studying with Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough or as a distance learner, you'll be a member of the Students’ Union.

We're independent from the University and you get to decide how we’re run and what we do. You can vote in our elections, get your voice heard through student councils or take part in campaigns. Our core function is representation, which means we dedicate almost all of our resources to making sure your voice gets heard, and you get the most out of your degree.

We also give you lots of opportunities to have fun, make friends and get experience outside of the classroom. You might be interested in volunteering, joining one of our sports clubs or societies, working for us or attending some of our fantastic events - like our summer ball (pictured).

Everything we do is led by students, for students. Visit our website to find out more

The Students' Union offers a huge range of societies, from alternative music to animal welfare, and Harry Potter to Dr Who. We also have course-specific societies where you can meet people who are studying similar subjects to you. Any student can join a society, and new members are always welcomed. If we don’t have the society you’re looking for, you can start one!

There’s a full list of all societies online – have a look and see what interests you.
