In 2008, we started a joint venture with Peterborough Regional College to create University Centre Peterborough (UCP). It's a £10 million facility that offers a broad portfolio of degree courses.
At the moment, around 800 students are studying more than 25 different courses with us. If you’re interested in archaeology, business, computing, construction, education, engineering, media or sociology to name but a few, we have a course that's perfect for you.
You’ll study in an ultra-modern and contemporary learning environment with a specially designed 92-seat lecture theatre, a range of multi-purpose seminar and teaching rooms, state-of-the-art computer rooms and our well-stocked library with its team of friendly, experienced staff.
There are a variety of areas around campus to relax, meet friends, get a drink or grab a quick game of table football between lectures. The Student Support Centre is right at the centre of UCP and you can drop by any time during the day to pick up information or ask questions. If the advisers aren't busy, they'll see you right away.
We even have a hair and beauty salon here, if you feel in need of a bit of pampering after a hard day’s studying.
On campus, there are some great places to grab a quick bite or have a more leisurely break and catch up with friends, including:
We have a sports centre where you can play netball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, football and more. And, if you’re really keen, there’s also the opportunity to join our football and netball teams which take part in regional and national sports competitions.
UCP has two sites based near the city centre; the Main Site campus on Park Crescent and the Media Journalism Centre on Broadway.
The historic city is dominated by its imposing Norman cathedral, which plays host to the annual UCP Graduation Ceremony. Peterborough also offers a host of restaurants, cafes, theatres and shops to enjoy. Visit Peterborough is a good place to find out more about attractions and events.
