We've made sure that our campus libraries are packed full of the equipment and resources you need.

Our friendly and expert ARU library staff are always on hand to offer guidance and support. We have a team of subject librarians who not only provide a comprehensive programme of study and information skills training, they also work closely with our tutors and tailor services to meet your needs.

You can make use of our handy self-service facilities too - including borrowing, returning and reserving books, and photocopying.

We've a huge online collection of e-journals, e-books and databases, and they’re all available 24/7. During semesters, our campus libraries in Cambridge and Chelmsford stay open 24 hours, four days per week, and in each library you’ll find a significant collection of course-relevant materials. There are plenty of study spaces, including group work zones, silent study areas, multimedia playback, networked PCs, wireless connectivity, and standard IT applications.

And, while our library in Peterborough is a little smaller, if you’re studying there you won’t miss out. As with all our libraries, we’ll have at least one copy of every item on your recommended reading list in stock. You'll also have access to stock items such as journals and books.

All in all, we have everything you need to make your study time with us as enjoyable and as easy as possible.

The best part of my study is my access to a large database of research materials from the library and access to world renowned databases such as the IEEE, Wiley and a host of others

In late 2014 we launched an upgraded desktop for all our students. Whether you're studying remotely or on campus, you'll now have access to Office 2013 and Adobe Photoshop CS6 as standard. Some of our students also have access to the master collection of Adobe CS6 software.
