Summary of Research

Ashley's PhD has four principal aims: 1) To conceptualise ambivalent attitude towards gay men 2) To corroborate and nuance this conceptualisation using qualitative methods 3) To use these findings to construct and validate a measure of ambivalence towards gay men, and 4) To estimate the prevalence of ambivalence towards gay men and explore its related attitudinal and personality constructs.
