Kjell has been part of the Sport and Exercise Sciences team since 2007. He teaches on Sport and Exercise Psychology related modules in Sport and Exercise Sciences and is admissions tutor for the various degrees. His research centres around the influence of psychological stress on visual attention, motor skill execution and performance.
Kjell is module leader for various Sport Psychology modules, such as Perceptual Motor Skills and Psychological profiling, within the programme. Kjell gained his BSc and MSc in Human Movement Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His interdisciplinary background allowed him to develop a research profile that combines psychological, motor control, visual attention and biomechanical factors that influence human sport performance.
Kjell is admissions tutor for the sport and exercise sciences and is completing his PhD in which he examines the effects of bio-psychological stress and anxiety on visual search behaviour and performance execution.
