Raj directs the Medical Engineering Research Group and leads our MSc Engineering Management course. She specialises in applying engineering solutions to medical problems.

Background

Raj has a PhD in bioengineering, undergraduate and Masters degrees in mechanical engineering, and an MBA. She is a Visiting Scientist at the Hospital for Special Surgery, a Visiting Professor at the University of Mascara and collaborates on research projects at US universities (New York, Boston and Harvard). Raj serves as reviewer for scientific journals and is an editorial board member.

Raj has over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers, more than 80 scientific abstracts, one patent application, four book chapters and one book to her name. She is the recipient of over 20 externally-funded research grants and winner of seven major international awards.
