Steve is experienced in game development, with particular focus on serious games and game based learning. His industry experience is in agile development and publishing games using the Unreal Engine.

Background

Before joining Anglia Ruskin, Steve worked in the defence industry as a software engineer where he developed an interest in serious games. He also held senior positions in the IT industry, gaining experience of agile development processes. Steve has a specific interest in exploring how to make video games more accessible to the visually impaired.

As a STEM ambassador, Steve works closely with several schools to help promote STEM subjects and computational thinking. He's also provided consultancy services to external companies with particular focus on e-learning and game-based learning projects. He co-founded Seven Line Studios Ltd, a game development studio, developing games for iOS.

Away from work, Steve has an interest in medieval history and has held the title of World and European Field Archery Champion on two occasions.
