Modern study spaces for continued learning

Our University has two main libraries in Cambridge and Chelmsford, and two smaller, specialist nursing libraries at the Fulbourn and Peterborough District Hospital sites.

Each library has a wide range of collections, plus a variety of study facilities, including:
  • open access computers
  • quiet study areas
  • group study areas
  • bookable rooms
  • laptop connectivity
  • WiFi
  • networked photocopiers for printing
  • enquiry services
  • 24 hour opening (during semester at Cambridge and Chelmsford)

MA Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care, student

The support I gained from the library staff was always extremely helpful. They spent time teaching me and encouraging me to utilise all the facilities they offered. Nothing was ever too much trouble, especially when accessing new literature. The staff are a credit to the university and a valuable facility which enhanced my learning experience during my time at Anglia Ruskin University.

Friendly, expert staff, including a team of subject specialists, are on hand to offer support. We also have IT help desks in both the Cambridge and Chelmsford libraries.

All Anglia Ruskin students have automatic membership of the University Library; all you need is your valid University ID card. You will be able to renew books and search our catalogue online. There is an introduction to our services at the start of the semester and drop-in study and information skills sessions are offered throughout the year via our 'Skills@Uni' programme, while more advanced sessions can be arranged with lecturers.

You'll find our libraries are designed to offer a wide range of resources to support self-study outside of classes. Whether you need to write an essay, are working on your dissertation or revising for exams, your campus library is here to help you.
