Initially given the green light in February 2010, April 2012 saw the official opening of the £9.3 million University Centre Harlow, a partnership between Anglia Ruskin University and Harlow College, by the Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science.

The 3-storey, 2400 square metre University Centre will help raise skill levels and increase opportunities for local people and businesses.

Facilities include state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, a graphics design studio, journalism centre, 96 seat lecture theatre, and an i-Lab (an IT facility to encourage and inspire creative thought) and video conferencing facilities.




Why University Centre Harlow?

Anglia Ruskin is working closely with Harlow College, recently placed 1st nationally in Further Education College league tables. The University Centre is also located on a modern campus featuring contemporary existing and developing buildings set in green surroundings.

Only a short walk from the bus station, leisure facilities, shopping, arts and nightlife, our University Centre is perfectly positioned for all amenities.

On site, campus features include:
  • our 'one-stop-shop' Guidance Centre, the first point of contact for any student services issues
  • all day refreshments at our Food Court
  • Skylight Brasserie restaurant serving great food at low prices, prepared by our students and open to all
  • the Glassbox Theatre featuring dance, theatre and music performances by our students, available to everyone, and
  • the Harmony Hair & Beauty Salon open to students and the public, with all treatments performed by our students.
