Specialist advice
We've International Student Advisers available at both our Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses available to offer advice and support to international students. Services offered by the International Student Support team include visa and immigration advice, welfare advice, and guidance on working in the UK.
Healthcare
We've medical centres located on each campus as well as qualified counsellors based in Student Services. International students studying on courses lasting 6 months or more are entitled to free medical consultations, free treatment at hospitals and free emergency treatment for any new health problems.
Religious practice
Our University is an open community of students and staff from a diverse range of faiths and cultures. In Cambridge and Chelmsford there are communities representing the major religious faiths with their own centre, mosque or church. Our University Chaplain is the first point of contact on campus if who wish to practice your faith. Each Chaplaincy provides prayer rooms, including a dedicated facility if you're of Islamic faith.

Careers advice
Our Employability and Careers Service is here to help you make the most appropriate choices at all stages in your career. Each campus has a well established information library, housing a wide range of materials.
Specialist advisers can help you look at ways of building your experience to give you the best chance of getting the job you want. They can also help you identify occupational areas for further research, as well as giving advice on application and interview techniques. You can develop your presentation skills in mock interviews, practice psychometric tests and take part in simulated selection exercises.
Please see our Working in the UK page for guidance on working whilst, and after, studying.
