On campus

There's always something going on on campus - whether it's a live music event, a show at the Ruskin art Gallery, or a charity run!

For day to day socialising, there are cafes, snack bars, self service restaurants and the Students' Union bar, all great places to meet friends, relax over a cup of coffee, or even catch up on some work! With a varied mix of clubs and societies, it's easy to make new friends and explore new activities.

Off campus

Both Cambridge and Chelmsford are packed with things to do: cinemas, theatres, art galleries and other cultural attractions mix with restaurants, cafes and vibrant nightlife. There are also beautiful green parks in which to relax with friends, or just sit and enjoy the sunshine!

Further afield

The university is close to London and many students go there regularly for shows, concerts, sightseeing or to meet friends. Anglia Ruskin is also well placed as a base from which to explore continental Europe, as cheap flights operate from Stansted International Airport, less than an hour away.

Sports

Anglia Ruskin students can enjoy a wide range of team sports, and many teams have achieved outstanding records of achievement, both locally and nationally There's easy access to local football, rugby, hockey and cricket pitches, as well as on campus and local multi-gyms, swimming pools and leisure centres.
