Russian
Russian classes (Foundation 1 and 2) run, subject to enrolments, at the Cambridge Campus only. Each module runs for twelve weeks. The lecturer is Mrs Marina Burrell, who is a highly qualified native speaker. Russian Foundation is taken both by students enrolled on Anglia Ruskin University degree courses and by members of the public as Link Students.
Russian is taught in small groups, normally spending one hour per week in a normal seminar room and one hour in a multi-media language lab. The modules feature both the spoken and the written language, with grammar clearly presented. The current textbook is 'The Ruslan Russian Course and CD Roms' by John Langran and Natalya Veshnyeva.
Assessment consists of speaking and writing tests which are completed by week 12 of each module.
Russian has been taught successfully at Anglia Ruskin University since 1995 and students taking the modules have had a high success rate. Student feedback has been consistently positive.
