The commercial environment of our region is multi-national and multi-cultural. Demands on local businesses to communicate and compete in a global market are increasing. We aim to become the region's leading provider of translation, interpreting and language related services and we welcome enquiries from clients who appreciate the experience, academic knowledge, professionalism and quality which are the hallmarks of our reputation.

The Language Services Unit of Anglia Ruskin University was established in 2012 to coordinate our teaching, research and commercial activity into one entity, meeting the demand from the business community for university expertise in training. Our unit collaborates with experts throughout the university, drawing on and commissioning expertise to design its commercial activity. We build upon a long history of delivering continuing professional development programmes externally and already have several major clients all over the world.

The Language Services Unit is responsible for the language education and language support of the whole university and we strive to be at the forefront of developments in education and technology to maximise teaching and learning experiences for all our students and colleagues. These standards, our expertise in education and our dedication to professionalism inform the design and delivery of first class and resolutely practical short courses for our external clients.
