International students: paying your fees

Do I have to pay a deposit?

International students are required to pay a deposit which ranges from £2,000 to £3,000 for undergraduate Bachelors and postgraduate Masters courses. The exact amount you will be required to pay will be listed as a condition in your offer letter, and you will not be issued a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) until the deposit has been received by our University.

Please note the deposit is non-refundable unless your visa is refused.

How do I pay my deposit?

Details of how to pay your deposit will be included with your offer letter. We recommend that you pay online using our University's web payment system.

Please remember that the deposit is non-refundable unless your visa is refused, so do not pay it until you are certain you will be joining Anglia Ruskin.

When do I need to pay my fees?

After you have paid your deposit, you can decide to pay the rest of your fees in full, or you can follow our University's instalment payment plan.

Early payment discounts are available for new students, if you will choose to pay your full annual tuition fee. New student discounts for September 2013 intake are the following:
  • £550 if the full annual tuition fee is paid on or before Monday 26 August 2013
  • £300 if the full annual tuition fee is paid on or before Friday 27 September 2013
For non-EU students this will be the full tuition fee for the particular programme for the whole of the first academic year.

If you choose to pay in instalments, you'll pay the deposit, then instalments as follows:
  • If you're starting in January: one third of the remaining fees at registration, a further third in March, and the final third in May.
  • If you're starting in September: one third of the remaining fees at registration, a further third in November, and the final third in January.

How do I pay my fees?

If you're paying your fees before the start of your course, or by instalments: please use our University's web payments system.

If you're not able to pay online, please contact your Admissions Officer who can give you advice about paying by bank to bank transfer, cheque, or bankers draft.

If you're paying your fees once you arrive at our University: you can make a payment in person at registration using cash, debit or credit card, cheque, or bankers draft.

Further information about how and when to pay your fees is included in the Welcome Guide for International Students, a copy of which will be sent to you with your offer letter.
