Studied MA Music Therapy
Bernice Chu

During the programme, I always felt encouraged to discover my own way of working. I felt challenged to grow both academically and personally. The lectures that I found most inspiring were given by music, art, dance, and drama therapists from around the globe, shared their insights and knowledge in working in specialised settings.

One of the reasons I chose this programme was because it offered a music-centered and psychoanalytical approach. In one of several workshops, we used our instruments to have a conversation using musical dialogue. This provided more insight into how to appropriately adapt my musical skills and knowledge when working with clients. I learned how to usefully and creatively apply my musical skills in any therapeutic setting. Simultaneously, psychoanalytic seminars instilled a strong foundation in therapeutic thinking and skills around the work.
