Entry requirements

For entry into year 1 of an undergraduate Bachelors degree, you'll need to have one of the following:
  • 70% in a Polytechnic diploma
  • International Baccalaureate with 24 points
  • Completed first year of a relevant degree
  • Completion of a Diploma in Engineering (3 years)
  • A recognised foundation qualification
To enter a postgraduate Masters degree, you'll need to have one of the following:
  • BUET 4 year Bachelors (Hons) first or upper second class
  • Successful completion of recognised Pre-Masters course

Improving your employability

Our University runs a mentoring scheme which matches 2nd year students with employees from local organisations. The employees help students to improve their employability by developing workplace skills and business awareness. This could be why 90.4% of our students are in employment or further study 6 months after graduating (2nd only in our region to Cambridge University at 91.2%).
