If you are looking for ways to generate some extra money to subsidise university life, we have just the place. An award-winning Employment Bureau (EB) that deals specifically with undergraduates and graduates looking for temporary, permanent, and part-time opportunities.

The EB operates just like any other high street recruitment agency but has the added benefit of being right on your doorstep, literally! There are EB offices on both the Cambridge and Chelmsford Campuses ensuring that you can drop in at a time most convenient to you. With dedicated staff, who understand that your studies will always comes first, the importance of flexible employment to your timetabling commitments and an array of job opportunities to offer, the EB is extremely popular with current students.

The EB services include:
  • finding part-time, term time and vacation employment for the students of Anglia Ruskin, to assist with supporting them financially through Higher Education (HE)
  • managing the requirements of University faculties and departmental for temporary staff
  • providing a Graduate recruitment service, placing alumni into their first full-time jobs since completing their studies, or assisting with their career progression
  • engagement with businesses outside our University to maximise the opportunities for students and graduates to find work
  • providing general advice and support to students in all aspects of employment, in particular legislation and work permits.
Where possible all requirements for temporary workers for our University are made available to a student in the first instance. In addition, we work in partnership with industry and business across the East of England to recruit graduates, alumni and students for permanent positions, short-term contracts or temporary assignments. Employers are attracted to Anglia Ruskin University as a source of potential employees because of the range of courses studied, the calibre of graduates and the fact that 75% of alumni continue to reside in the East Anglia area.
