Study Support Service
Admissions and disability
Anglia Ruskin University welcomes applicants who require support to access higher education studies because of a physical or sensory impairment, specific learning difficulty, medical condition, mental health difficulty or other long-term condition. We treat applicants who need support the same as all other prospective students, whilst recognising that additional support and adjustments may be needed.Disability support
If you are disabled or have a specific learning difficulty (for example, dyslexia, dyspraxia or Asperger syndrome) or other condition, difficulty or impairment, the Study Support Service can help you with information, advice and support.
Initial contact with you
If you declare a disability on your application form the Study Support Service will contact you by email when you are made an offer. We will introduce ourselves and ask you for more details of your support requirements. We will also ask you for evidence of your disability. This evidence will vary according to your circumstances. It might include medical evidence from a GP or consultant. For a specific learning difficulty, it will be a recent report from an Educational Psychologist or other suitably qualified person. We can provide you with help and advice about appropriate evidence if you are unsure. The information you provide will help us work with you to ensure the arrangements you need are in place as soon as possible.
If you would prefer to contact an adviser from the Study Support Service before you receive an offer you can email us at: studysupport@anglia.ac.uk

If you choose not to disclose a disability on your UCAS/application form we encourage you to contact the Study Support Service as soon as possible to avoid delays in arranging the support you need.
