Counselling and Wellbeing Service
The Counselling and Wellbeing Service is a free, confidential and professional service for all students at Anglia Ruskin University. Students talk to us about a variety of issues both personal and emotional, and study-related. You don't have to be in crisis and we are happy to help with any problem, however small.
We offer:
- individual counselling
- groups and workshops; covering topics such as stress management, relaxation, time management, assertiveness training, overcoming oral presentation anxiety and exam anxiety
- consultation for staff
- self-help resources.
What students have said:
- "It's good to know that there is a counselling service and I have found it very useful"
- "The friendly staff are easily approachable and quick to help. I would definitely recommend the service to a friend"
- "I was surprised at how easy it was to contact the service and to make an appointment. I didn't expect to be given an appointment so soon."
All counsellors work in accordance with the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
